Terms

Last updated 30 October 2026

These terms cover using StareGlare, the issue-reporting service at stareglare.com, run by Gjorge Karakabakov. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written to be read. People who only send a report through someone's app don't need to agree to anything; the privacy page says what happens with their report.

The service

StareGlare is a paid service with a free trial. Features can change, and limits or prices of your plan won't change without notice. Whatever your plan, you can always delete your data. Reports that arrive after a trial ends or over a limit are kept locked and open again when you subscribe; the only time StareGlare deletes them for you is after 90 days without a plan, with an email first (see below).

Plans and payment

  • New workspaces get a 30-day free trial with no card: every feature, the Indie plan's report and storage limits, 1,000 captured errors and 3 website audits. After that you need a paid plan. Current limits and prices are available on request at hello@stareglare.com.
  • Without a paid plan, or over your plan's monthly limit, reports are still accepted so your users are never turned away. They're kept locked until you subscribe (or, for the monthly limit, until the next month starts). Errors an app sends on its own are different: past your plan's monthly allowance (or a tenth of it in a single day), or without a plan, they are not recorded at all. Unpaid workspaces show "Powered by StareGlare" on report pages and emails.
  • A workspace that has had no plan for 90 days (after a trial or a subscription ends) has its apps, reports, files, captured errors, releases and website audits deleted. Members get an email at least 14 days before. The workspace and your account stay, so you can subscribe later and start again.
  • Payments are handled by Polar, the merchant of record, who charges you, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Polar's customer portal. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Founding-member prices stay the same for as long as the subscription stays active.
  • Refunds. If StareGlare isn't for you, email hello@stareglare.com within 14 days of your first payment, monthly or yearly, and you get it back in full. Renewals aren't refunded, but you can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. If StareGlare was down or broken in a way that mattered to you, write anyway and I'll make it right. Refunds are paid by Polar to the payment method you used.

Your account

  • You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
  • Keep access to your email and your API tokens to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with them, including by an AI assistant you connect.
  • Tell me if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

Your content and your users

  • You own what's in your workspace. You let StareGlare store, process and send it only to run the service for you.
  • When you collect reports from your users, you're responsible for having a reason to and for telling them, for example in your app's privacy policy. StareGlare's privacy page describes what StareGlare does with their reports.
  • For the reports your users send you, you decide what happens with the data and StareGlare handles it for you. The Data Processing Agreement says how, lists the companies StareGlare relies on, and is part of these terms. Answering your users' requests about their data is yours to do; the dashboard has a tool that finds, exports and deletes everything one person sent you.
  • Don't use StareGlare to collect passwords, payment card details, health data or other sensitive information.
  • Messages you send through StareGlare should be about the report they belong to. No marketing or bulk email.

The widget and the helpers

While you have a workspace you may put StareGlare's web widget on your sites and ship its Swift and Godot helpers inside your apps and games, to collect reports for that workspace. The Godot addon is open source under the MIT licence, which applies to it instead. Everything else about StareGlare, including its name and the frog, stays mine.

Posting to TikTok

  • You can connect your own TikTok account to schedule videos, and StareGlare publishes them at the time you choose. Only connect an account you're allowed to post from.
  • You're responsible for what you post and how you label it, and you must follow TikTok's terms and Community Guidelines.
  • TikTok decides whether and when a video is published and who can see it. StareGlare can't promise that a scheduled video will go out, and it isn't made by or affiliated with TikTok.
  • You can disconnect at any time in the dashboard or in TikTok's settings. The privacy page says what StareGlare keeps.

Things that aren't allowed

  • Anything illegal, and content that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Uploading malware, or using StareGlare to host files for other purposes.
  • Spam, phishing, or sending email to people who didn't contact you.
  • Getting around rate limits, probing for vulnerabilities in other people's workspaces, or putting excessive load on the service.

Found a security issue? Email me and I'll fix it quickly.

Ending things

You can stop using StareGlare at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. I may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and I'll tell you why unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.

No warranty

StareGlare is provided as is, without promises of availability or fitness for a purpose. Backups exist, but keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

Liability

As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and total liability is limited to what you've paid for StareGlare in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let a contract take away.

If StareGlare changes hands

If StareGlare is sold or moved to a company, these terms and your workspace move with it, and you get an email before that happens. The new owner is bound by these terms and the Data Processing Agreement. You can't pass your own account to someone else without asking first, but you can invite them and hand the workspace over.

If one part of these terms turns out not to be enforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and developers get an email before it takes effect. Using StareGlare afterwards means you accept the new terms.
